Pickering Quaker Meeting House

Would you or your group be interested in booking the Meeting House or a room for a course, meeting or a special event?

The Meeting House and Gardens provide a peaceful oasis in Pickering. The Meeting House is situated by the castle and is only a short walk from town. Please see the map on the contacts page for directions.

Rates for hire of Meeting House from 1st September 2008: The venue is currently used by a number of local community groups. The large meeting room is licensed for theatrical/ performance acts and a temporary license can be obtained for musical items.
We have general insurance for the use of the building by other groups. However please check you are insured in the event of an accident occurring on the premises.

The kitchen is available for use by users of the two meeting rooms. In the event of the kitchen being in use, it is usually possible to arrange tea making facilities in the room. If you wish to book the whole Meeting House, please discuss your requirements with the wardens.

RATES OF HIRE FOR THE MEETING HOUSE

Large Meeting Room
Voluntary groups: £12 per 2 hours (minimum charge).
£3 for each subsequent hour.
Non-voluntary groups: £15 per 2 hours (minimum charge).
£6 for each subsequent hour.

Meeting Room
Voluntary groups: £12 per 2 hours (minimum charge).
£3 for each subsequent hour.
Non-voluntary groups: £15 per 2 hours (minimum charge).
£6 for each subsequent hour.

Kitchen
Voluntary groups: £5 per 2 hours (minimum charge).
£2 for each subsequent hour
Non-voluntary groups: £8.50 per 2 hours (minimum charge).
£2 for each subsequent hour.

NOTE
No alcohol is permitted on the premises.
There is a no-smoking policy in the building.
There is disability access to the building and a loop system is
available in the meeting room.

The Large Meeting Room is equipped with theatre lights and sound for theatrical productions at no extra charge. A technician is available on request for an agreed charge.
